AMD has officially released its long-awaited for Ryzen 7 series of consumer CPUs, aimed at being the cheaper rival to Intel’s i7 range.
AMD’s return has been worth the wait firing a head shot directly at Intel. Releasing three new processors that are targeted at gamers, content creators and those who are interested in high-performance PCs. The company’s processors have always been less expensive than Intel’s products but lagged considerably in terms of overall performance. This time around, AMD has gone to great lengths to prove that the Ryzen series is on par with or, in some cases, even better than some of Intel’s existing Core i7 offerings; and they’re a lot cheaper as well.

The 1700 has been touted by AMD as the world’s lowest power 8-core desktop processor while 1800X is aimed at the enthusiast PC market. The 1700X is being positioned in between the two.
